Scott Strong
Scott Strong is the President and CEO of Strong’s Insurance, based in South Central Kansas, and a member of the Sunstar Insurance Group Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Geology. After graduating he worked as a petroleum landman for three years. He then joined the family’s insurance agency in Nashville, Kansas. He and business partner Gloria Theis purchased the agency in 1990. Scott & Gloria purchased several agencies over the next few years and added five more locations. In July of 2018 Scott joined Sunstar when they purchased Strong’s Insurance. Scott holds the following designations: Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Scott was on the board of the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents from 2010 thru 2019 and was president in 2018.
